Also, if you know of any sites I should feature, email me at sotd@someonwhocares.org or
post a note on the message board.
05/23/03 - the mathematical atlas - A gateway to modern mathematics. This site provides a great introduction to modern mathematics. I suggest starting with the gentle introduction and then wander through the dozens of well written pages on all sorts of topics. (math.niu.edu/~rusin/known-math)
05/17/03 - starship dimensions - Compare the sizes of space craft from a Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5 and more. Compare at various sizes, the best being 10 pixels per metre, and 10 metres per pixel. (merzo.net)
05/16/03 - play mash online - Mansion, Apartment, Shack or House. Where will you live when you grow up. Do you remember this game from your childhood? (playmash.com)
05/14/03 - mr. nice - Mr. Nice doesn't have any arms or hands, but as you can see, that doesn't stop him from dancing. Would you like to see him dance? (columbia.edu/~sjt59/mr_nice.swf)
05/13/03 - boring3d - Daily 3D rendered images. Or, if you prefer, a large archive of previous daily images and a cool gallery of images and movies. (boring3d.com)
05/04/03 - undergrads - The web site of one of my favourite tv shows. They only made 13 episodes about Nitz, Gimpy, Cal and Rocko, and that makes me sad. Their website is full of gems. They still play it a few times a week on Teletoon in Canada (11 PM Friday to Monday) and I believe it still airs somewhere on the spectrum in the states. There's stilla slim chance we'll see season two. (undergrads.tv)
